Feeding Your Neighbourhood Flying Friends

During the winter there are slim pickings for birds to feed on and so adding a bird feeder to your garden is the perfect way to aid in the survival of local birds.

I like to make bird seed cakes for the birds in my neighbourhood. These are so simple to make and the birds love them. See the recipe below.

One part dripping

Two parts wild bird seed mixed with currants, raisins, rice or pet biscuits
