Inspirational Flat-lays
This week it’s all about what's been selling well here at Parnell+co. After talking with Maree and Claire, we found out what has been literally ‘flying off the shelves’. Madi and I then gathered up our product and equipment and set to work on this photoshoot.
Our inspiration for this shoot came from many different magazines. I get a lot of inspiration from design and home magazines and of course from one of my favourite food magazines Dish. In these magazines they often use a ‘flat lay’ image to display products. A ‘flat lay’ is a term used in photography where subjects are arranged on a flat surface and photographed directly overhead, giving a ‘Birds Eye’ view.
We decided to create 5 categories of product to shoot – Garden, Christmas, Home Necessities, Unique Pieces and Insect-Free Living. Note that our Brass Kiwi appears in each of our images, he is a great design piece - available in 5 sizes.
