A Home Décor Neccesity

New to our teak collection are these stunning teak pots and vases, available in a natural or yakisugi finish. They have been crafted in Indonesia from solid teak wood, bringing a natural material to your home styling. Style them on a console or as the centre piece of your dining table décor.

These pots come in three different sizes; The Teak Pot (25cm Height), Teak Vase (35cm Height) and the show-stopper of the collection, the Teak Vase (40cm Height). The Teak Pot is the ideal size and shape for placing a store bought orchid in, keeping it in its original plastic pot. The two vases are suitable for placing dried flowers into or you can place a plastic container (a plastic drink bottle, for example) in the bottom of the vase to hold water for fresh flowers. We don't recommend pouring water straight into the vase as they are not sealed and the water will eventually absorb and create a water-line on the outside on the vase.

It is hard to choose between the Natural or Yakisugi finish. Invite warmth and a rustic charm with the natutral finish or make a bold statement with the Yakisugi finish. We have mixed and matched with both finishes in our styling photoshoot. The natural pots and vases embrace the grains, knots and imperfections in the wood. Used thoughtfully, wooden décor can create contrast against sleek surfaces like glass or metal. Yakisugi, is a traditional Japanese technique of charring the wood surface. This method involves carefully burning the outer layer of the wood, then cooling, brushing and sealing it to enhance both its durability and natutal beauty. On the vases, the Yakisugi finish gives the surface a deep, rich texture, highlighting the natural character of the wood.
